- The process of formation and development
The Department of Pharmacology – Clinical Pharmacy was established and developed from its predecessor, the Department of Pharmacology, which was established in 2009 under the School of Medicine – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City. In 2017, based on Decision No. 435/ Decision-VNU-HCM of the Director of Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City on approving the organizational structure of the Pharmacy department under the School of Medicine, the Department of Pharmacology – Clinical Pharmacology was established on the basis of the Department of Pharmacology.
- Fields of teaching and research
The Department of Pharmacology – Clinical Pharmacy is in charge of teaching the following subjects:
- General Pharmacology
- Pharmacology of drug groups in modules such as cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, and pain for students of Medicine, Odonto-Stomatology, Nursing, and Traditional Medicine.
- Pharmacology 1 & 2 (Theory – Practice)
- Clinical Pharmacy 1 & 2 (Theory – Practice)
- Pharmacotherapy
- Drug information and pharmacovigilance
- Applied pharmacokinetics
- Specialized practice at the Hospital
