Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health, which was established in 2009, is one of the influential units of the School of Medicine – VNU-HCM. With the enthusiastic guidance of Prof. Tran Thi Loi, the Department has achieved many valuable accomplishments in teaching and scientific research.
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health of the School of Medicine – VNU-HCM City has responsibility of teaching basic knowledge and practical skills in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for the 3rd and 5, 6th year General Medicine students, as well as students majoring in Odonto-Stomatology and upcoming graduate classes. Along with the teaching task, the Department also participates in scientific research and international cooperation activities. Every year, the Department guides the School’s seniors to carry out their graduation thesis. All of the lecturers participate in the course of treatment and examination at Tu Du Hospital.
In 2023, the Department of Ob&Gyn and Reproductive Health will organize graduate admissions majoring in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to continue to provide knowledge, experience and skills from basic to advanced in the field obstetrics and gynaecology and assisted reproduction.
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Reproductive Health Training is committed to fulfilling medical students with high quality and international integration capacity; research and apply advanced scientific and technical achievements to people’s health care. In addition, The Department aims to train the students to become good doctors in clinical treatment, but also focusing on fostering skills, thinking and ethics to help students move towards research in medicine.
