SoM-VNUHCM collaborates with Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Post and Telecoms

On the morning of July 4th, 2023, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding for collaboration between the School of Medicine – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Post and Telecoms took place at the Y.A1 Administrative Building.
During the ceremony, Prof. PhD. MD. Dang Van Phuoc, Dean of the School of Medicine, and MSc. Specialist level 2. Ho Minh Le, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Post and Telecoms, signed the agreement in the presence of the both institutions’ leadership.
According to the signed agreement, the two parties agreed on various areas of collaboration, including human resource training activities, collaboration in scientific research and technology transfer, research and application of scientific-technological projects, pilot production projects, technology transfer contracts, financial support, laboratory facilities, equipment, infrastructure, and human resources support. The signing ceremony also agreed to collaborate in organising workshops, conferences on management and specialisation, and joint provision of healthcare services and healthcare support.
In his speech at the ceremony, Prof. PhD. MD. Dang Van Phuoc highly appreciated the development of cooperation between the two entities. He emphasised the importance of linking and collaborating with healthcare institutions to provide clinical practice training for students. He also affirmed that today’s collaboration is driven by a common mission – the mission of training future generations of doctors with sufficient knowledge, expertise, and high-level skills to serve the people. He expressed the hope that both parties would establish a fruitful cooperation and promptly implement the contents mentioned in the memorandum.
Ho Chi Minh City Hospital of Post and Telecoms is a healthcare institution formed through the merger of the previous Post II Hospital and the Nursing and Functional Rehabilitation Hospital.
